Extended Daytime Hours

To provide greater tool access the nanoFAB is extending its regular day time hours to 8am – 6pm. Afterhours tool bookings will now begin at 6pm. We thank all community members for their patience and for following our policies on our Knowledge Base.

 

New Wire Bonder

The new TPT HB16 Wire bonder is operational and open for training to all nanoFAB users. Bonding examples for electrical interconnects of dies and packages/PCBs are provided in the link. Keep Reading

 

Transmission EBSD

For higher spatial resolution of diffraction images in SEM, the nanoFAB has developed a transmission mode EBSD work flow. Examples are provided of clearly resolved EBSD orientation maps of 20 nm grains.  Keep Reading

Did you know?

Two new staff members recently joined the nanoFAB.

Dr. Emmett Yu, who will work within the Characterization Group supporting TEM and microscopy application developments, and Adam Pettigrew, who will work within the Technical Operations Group, supporting equipment and infrastructure maintenance and developments.

Please welcome these new team members to the nanoFAB when you see them.
