Upcoming webinar on 3D XRM

The nanoFAB is pleased to inform you of a technical webinar on 3D Xray Microscopy for characterization of energy materials, metals, composites and polymers on August 20th (Noon MDT/11:00AM PDT).

Webinar Abstract:

Dr. Arno Merkle, Materials Scientist at Carl Zeiss X-ray Microscopy, will review the emergence of 3D X-ray Microscopy (XRM) within the Materials Science community and point to applications that are driving research fields to new, more comprehensive levels of understanding. The ability to characterize and quantify 3D microstructure non-destructively at sub-micron and nanoscale dimensions prior to post-mortem analysis will be addressed in the context of such applications as metals, composites, energy materials, polymers and more. In particular, we will demonstrate how 3D and 4D XRM is being utilized as a fulcrum to define correlative workflows that lead to more efficient characterization via light, electron and ion based imaging methods.
