Nanoscribe Demo Review

As part of the nanoFAB’s CFI on advanced manufacturing, we recently attended a demo of the Nanoscribe Photonic Professional GT 2-photon polymerization 3D printer. This system provides 2D, 2.5D, and 3D printing capabilities from the nano- to macroscale in photosenstive polymers. Below is an example from the demonstration, conducted at the Washington Nanofabrication Facility, University of Washington.

3D model of a beaver, printed during the demo to provide Canadian content.

3D printing of beaver in real time; height of each model is ~200 µm.

The nanoFAB has purchased this tool, with delivery and commissioning beginning in January 2019. If you are interested in this capability please contact Dr. Aaron Hryciw (nanoFAB Fabrication Group Manager) for further details.
