Advance Surface Science Workshop

On behalf of the University of Alberta’s interfacial Science and Surface Engineering Laboratory, the nanoFAB is pleased to share the following:

The first Advanced Surface Science workshop to be held at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Alberta, Canada.
This workshop is organized by the University of Alberta’s interfacial Science and Surface Engineering Laboratory (iSSELab) in collaboration with a world leader in the surface science industry, KRÜSS GmbH, as well as renowned experts in the field. The three day workshop (May 31 – June 2, 2016) will be dedicated to foam analysis (Day 1), interfacial tension (Day 2), and wettability & adhesion (Day 3). Each day we will consider the topic’s theoretical background, challenges in industries with real-case studies, and include practical demonstration sessions.
Funding opportunities for surface science research will be discussed daily during the panel discussion.
Free accommodation and/or 50% airfare will be provided to 10 selected students and postdoctoral researchers.
